To rebutt a fellow reviewer's point: Casey the prostitute is not hairy, but is on the chunky side! But this is only the beginning. The first one he told me to look for was Basket Case. Belial also makes some thankfully short appearances as a decent stop-motion animation. They wouldn't let us go to school or anything. The very premise is as bizarre and sordid as one can imagine. Also, while the acting is indeed notably bad, that just adds to the camp value of the film.
Difficult life unfolds the story of two brothers who were born conjoined twins, one of whom looked quite healthy and appropriate person, and the other — a strange nasty process with hands and apparent developmental abnormalities. Although Daune and Belial were conjoined at birth, they are separated against their will at an early age. In a flash back-series we learn it contains his surgically removed Siamese twin who is not only physically deformed so badly the doctors hesitated to consider him a human, but is also the vindictive drive of their trip, with the purpose to kill off all those he blames. It was such a traumatizing experience, I thought I would wet my pants in the Dr. Duane carries his brother Belial around in a basket, and the two are trying to find and murder the doctors who separated them. Like the title of this review says, you seriously might think of steering clear of New York City after watching this movie. Perhaps I was just misinformed.
I understand the feelings of the angry and embittered at the time my father! And when Belial goes crazy in one scene they use believable stop-animation claymation that looks great. I laughed hysterically at the bad acting, Crayola paint blood, sleazy characters and scenes , and horrendous dialogue. He checks into a cheap hotel and inside the basket is his deformed and horrid Siamese twin brother, Belial separated forcefully by some doctors under their father's order when they were young. But it's intelligent, creepy and viciously horrific. Synopsis Charming country bumpkin Duane Bradley takes a motel room in New York with a basket and a backpack.
Overall, though, these are all that work for this one. That doesn't mean the concept is all that funny, however, despite assertations to the contrary within the film. The film was shot in part on Manhattan's. Other than that it isn't all that special. I think that, perhaps, it was necessary to immediately isolate and destroy the monster in its infancy, as it is cruel not sound. Dyueyn Bradley — ordinary man and Bilayl Bradley — slippery, nasty creature with human-like head — hip.
For example, the police investigate the murderous duo and then it's totally dropped. The story and script are thoughtful, scary, and darkly humorous. He even split his own father in two. Basket Case is no exception to this, as despite hokey effects, a rather silly story and some very suspect acting; Basket Case is a trash classic all the way, and it's a film that's guaranteed to delight fans of horror. The hole-in-the-wall apartment that doubles as a prostitution ring for the clientele in the area, the continuous traffic and sirens blaring away outside and the way everything plays out to trying to rip him off once they're aware of his money on him. Now the pair is in Manhattan, to do away with the doctors who performed the operation. Bruce Torbet's cinematography is nice in some scenes, like when he gets a shot of the Twin Towers.
Then I discovered the Something Weird digitally remastered version this year and I absolutely love it now! Both brothers have a telepathic link and Duane knows that Belial is also insanely jealous which he discovers when he strikes up a friendship with a nurse. So who decided to not follow through? This movie is special to me because this was his last horror film, and I hadn't seen it since my dad passed until today. Basket Case is a pretty good visually frightening horror of the little monster slizneobraznogo polucheloveka showing terrible tragic story of two conjoined twins. Will jealousy tear these two brothers apart- again? Viewers will also learn that their father wanted Duane's brother killed after the operation - yet he never was. Charming country bumpkin Duane Bradley takes a motel room in New York with a basket and a backpack. I never knew about this horror film series until 2013.
For instance who knows how great this could have been if Sam Raimi had directed it. I was shocked why the operation so long held out that Dwayne was in the age when clearly understood everything that was happening around him. My Dad was the man who would recommend movies to me. This movie wasn't boring and horrible- it was hilarious, gory and great. This movie is highly recommended as campy viewing at best.
A A young man carries his deformed, mutant, Siamese twin brother around in a wicker basket on the streets of New York. But when you look at it today, you can't help but be amused and laugh at it. The thing itself looks ridiculous, but in spite of this it actually manages to be quite frightening, and once you've gotten over the initial giggles: it takes on a life of it's own, and even manages to become quite believable. But, all the same, it is genuinely creepy and absurd and at times equally funny in a very twisted, tongue-in-cheek sort of way. Belial resents having to live in the basket and even more so being detached from his normal appearing brother.
Ugh, I remember those moments, immediately becomes frustrating! But in the reception of one of those doctors, Duane gets his first ever date, with the receptionist, and wants to start a positive life too - when the freak twin escapes, the scene is set for a grim finale. This bodes well with the gore scenes, which are also quite brutal. But, I can not say that I felt a bust with bloody attacks this monster, all more or less harmoniously. It never takes itself too seriously yet Basket Case still retains a creepy atmosphere throughout. Archived from on February 16, 2007. Later on, it's stated by Duane that he only followed his brother and accepted the plan that his brother had conceived.
Although not even know I could perceive the movie, because I had a bunch of revised every sheet to pohlesche this film. Some words would've been nice. Films like The Hills Have Eyes 1977 , Halloween 1978 and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre 1974 all worked a pushing the boundaries of peoples' morbid curiosities. The effects that were used to bring the monstrosity to life sure couldn't have cost much and are primitive at best, but at the same time are pretty effective, especially the close-ups of it's face which are punctuated by a series of funny moans and a few screams. They may not be cringe inducing but are nonetheless bloody as all get out. With Terri Susan Smith, Beverly Bonner, and others. Moreover, that this thing had to do with the death of the mother! If you are a fan of the weird macabre 80's low budget horror movie you have probably seen this already.
